Fig & Gouda Chicken Melt

Caramelized Onion & Gouda Chicken Burger

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Caramelized Onion & Gouda Chicken Burger
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 Tbsp fig jam
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 slice gouda cheese
  • Handful arugula 

DIRECTIONS:

  • Spread fig jam on both slices of sourdough and set aside.
  • Heat the Caramelized Onion & Gouda Chicken Burger in a pan on medium heat with some olive oil for 1-2 minutes, then flip and add the cheese on top.
  • Cook until the cheese starts to melt. 
  • Add the arugula to one slice of sourdough, followed by the warm chicken burger then place the other slice of sourdough on top. 
  • Add a drizzle of olive oil to a pan on medium heat and heat the sandwich for a few minutes until the bread is golden brown.
  • Add another drizzle of olive oil to the top of the sandwich before flipping and cooking the other side. Enjoy!
